Ramadhan is a Holy month for Muslims, and we all welcome this month with happiness. The preparations and changing patterns of living express the emotions of Muslims for these 30 days. The primary element of preparations includes different varieties of food. During Ramadan, sellers and traders get a significant edge on bargaining power as all the customers are overwhelmed and ready to buy fruits and other grocery items at any cost. Greedy retailers take great advantage of the excitement of people. Ramadan is a month of kindness, and still, people cannot get rid of the idea of making more money by burdening people.

A day before Ramadan, everyone faces a significant price change even in all the necessary items. From the essential items like fruits and vegetables to all the grocery items, every buyer becomes a victim of sellers. Now, change in pre-Ramadan, and Ramadan prices have become a norm. Everyone thinks that the government and traders are involved in price changes. But let’s see a clear picture of the story.

From the past few years, the government has imposed laws against price changes. The previous government has also introduced Utility stores for Ramadan without increasing the price and quality of things. It means that the government is not supporting and involved in this shameful activity. But, maybe the government is not strong enough to impose these laws successfully and hold accountable those who violate it, because there is no change in price changes after the regulations. People are still trading off their honesty to few more money.

Actual Problem

If we analyze the whole situation, then we can say that the government has played its part against it. But the real problem arises from us. Yes, we have made these sellers more powerful. Now, we have adopted a particular lifestyle and unable to change it.

The real problem is. First, we shout against the vendors, but we end up buying things from them. It automatically portrays a weak image of customers who are bounded by their luxury mentality severely. If we prefer simple Iftari instead of multi-items dining and stop buying these items, then we can show that we are against the price hike in real terms.

Real Victim of our Action

We just saw that we are giving so much power to vendors in Ramadan. But unfortunately, we are not the ones who get affected by the price hike. We still buy from these sellers, but due to our irresponsible behavior, the lower class people have become the real victim of this price hike. Just because we have allowed vendors to increase prices and contribute to buying at high prices, the lower-class remain inaccessible to many items.

Solution

The primary part of any solution is problem identification, which we have identified above. Now, we have to boycott every vendor and seller who violates the governmental price policy of Ramadan. We should not buy stuff from them so that they cannot become dominant on us. But for that, we should not let our minds become predominant in our actions. We need to change ourselves to fight against it.
